  3. Is self-defense "unwise and loveless"? Because this is what Ukraine is doing. Their country is not a "stupid piece of land", it's where Ukrainians live and belong. As for "dumb national pride", go and post the same on russian propaganda channels, since russian exceptionalism is at the root of this - and many other - wars.
