  1. He has not experienced direct contact because he's never been in the military and has never pretended to be. He was voted into power by a huge majority in free and fair elections and is now doing his job. Some of the politicians he's having to deal with in order to protect his country from genocide are indeed evil - it should have been so easy for putin & co. to gain the moral high ground on them, but they have failed and continue to fail on all counts.
