  1.  @Тёмный_Механик  There's no need to destroy anything. Whatever infrastructure or heritage from soviet or even imperial times that is still useful can be kept as partial reparation for the decades of colonial oppression

  2. Switching languages at national level takes time. All these things can and need to be done at the same time, not one after the other. Besides, Kazakhstan is already moving towards abandoning the cyrillic script that was forced on their language by the soviets (cyrillic was created for Slavic languages, and really doesn't work for Turkic languages like Kazakh). That is a huge move in itself.
