  1. I know very little about this but it's not news to me, so someone somewhere must be talking about it. Human rights abuses by China are discussed on a regular basis by western media and populations. The situation however is different because there is active warfare in Ukraine right now, so russia is doing this literally under everybody's noses, while I think with human rights abuses by China (wrongly) got less attention when they started to happen and then slowy dawned on many of us as the decades wore on. For some perspective, and ending back in Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians were deliberately starved to death, just about in living memory (the Holodomor took place 90 years ago, some of the survivors are still alive) and most of the world totally ignored it.
