  1. I thank the Ukrainian people every day, for their resistance - I am already benefiting from living in a world where they didn't cave in to rashist aggression. Our countries (writing from the UK) have been bulking up for decades to fight a war that another, smaller and poorer country has ended up fighting on behalf of the whole world: they shouldn't have to keep asking for our help. Ukrainians are grateful to everyone in every allied country and they're always making that very clear...but anyone expecting them to grovel foreverafter will be sorely disappointed, and I'm glad.
