As a result, you're getting a much more civilized reply than you deserve: The same name has been chosen for a number of mountain brigades in a number of countries at different times. To make the association between this brigade's name and the nazis is to repeat russian propaganda. When this Ukrainian brigade was named, the russian army itself had an Edelweiß brigade - it was renamed a few years ago, possibly in preparation for putin's current psy-ops (I mean, maybe not, but I wouldn't put it past them). This is all stuff you can easily look up and it was in the news recently.
