I appreciate the sentiment, but the people of Buryatia have been suffering unbelievable repressions at the hands of russian dictators for literally centuries!

That's why they were able to openly protest. It sounds like there are well-developed activist networks that will hopefully make sure the footage spreads far and wide back home - people have to feel they're not alone before they even consider an uprising.
