I completely disagree. As has been pointed out by other replies to your comment, the Ukrainian language does not use Cyrillic because russian does. Besides, even after learning Ukrainian only for the past year I can tell that the Cyrillic alphabet is uniquely suited to the language and able to capture the subtleties of its phonetics - I'm still slow with this alphabet but the Latin transliteration of Ukrainian already hurts my eyes! Finally, turning away from russia is about preserving Ukraine's heritage and identity as well as its freedom and sovereignty, and diluting that to adjust to another superpower would be one step forward and two steps back.
