You are quite rightly labeled extremists if you act against people whose sexual orientation and/or identity differs from yours - no one stops you from being against anything. Just keep it to yourself and don't rub it in other people's faces.

You leave children alone... stop trying to tell them who/what they should or shouldn't be. Do you go around telling left-handed people they should only use their right hand? Because it's the same.

It's not an ideology, it's just the way some people are, like some people are left-handed and that's that. The "ideology" bit is just that everyone should have equal human rights.

Feel free to move to russia if you think they're doing so well... there's loads of space. They also treat women and immigrants pretty badly, in case that would make it more attractive to you

@Consume_Crash Religion is a mental illness. Reasoning with someone making a comment like yours is like trying to reason with someone in the middle of psychotic episode: I may empathise with them, but I probably feel in danger and I most certainly wouldn't let that person, in their current state, influence any decisions that can have an impact on my life. I must point out that I have no empathy for you, because unlike someone suffering from actual psychosis, you choose to be religious (even if you were born into it - religion is always a choice), and you choose to impose your religious beliefs on others, while no one is trying to make you have a sexual relationship with someone of the same sex. And "promote lust"? Seriously? Do you hear yourself??

@Consume_Crash The point I made, quite clearly, is that it's pointless trying to reason with a person who sees nothing but religion, because they are effectively sick in the head. Unlike people who are truly mentally ill however, people like you choose to be sick, choose to remain sick, and keep trying to make others sick. And no, nobody has to prove to you that a world without homophobia wouldn't be bad. Now goodbye.

@giantmysli As any civil rights campaign is. And many people who are LGBT are not even campaigners, they're just trying to live their lives without hiding, which is when people like you and others in this comment section start freaking out, because when LGBT are as visible as you are, and have or claim the same rights as you are, your heteronormative worldview is disturbed. Heteronormativy is basically the assumption that only heterosexual lives can and should be seen, and that's also an ideology - one that is part of the manifesto of a number of "political entities".

@suprememarcus I know plenty of parents who let their kids be who they are - gay, bisexual, trans, heterosexual, gender fluid... unsurprisingly (to me, at least) those kids are absolutely fine and getting on with their lives

@suprememarcus I deliberately didn't answer the question, because whether or not I have children is irrelevant to what I am saying. Having children doesn't give people the right to discriminate against others.

@suprememarcus Or maybe I do, and I refuse to use my children to justify my point because, as I've explained very clearly, I don't believe that being a parent gives anyone permission to force their views on others. And how exactly does having children justify being aggressively homophobic and transphobic? A parent could just as easily say "As a parent, I find it intolerable to imagine my children being persecuted for their sexual orientation, unable to just be themselves, raise children of their own with the person they love one day, even unable to show affection to their partner in public without fear of being attacked. That's why I fight for LGBT rights". Let's be clear: if one of your kids is queer, or trans, they just ARE and there's nothing you can do about it. You can choose to be a good parent and love them as they are, or you can choose to make them unhappy. And even if your kids are cisgendetef heterosexuals, raising them to be homophobic and transphobic automatically makes you a bad parent.

Btw I have no problem whatsoever with my identity, thank for your concern 🙂 And what exactly does it mean to deal with something "like an adult"? Would that be accepting that it's thing and not going on about it so much...? Because then you could try dealing like an adult with the fact that people's sexual orientation and gender identity varies across the world, and since it poses no threat whatsoever to humanity, it's best to leave people be. And no need to waste my life going to the rf and protesting there, when I can speak up against homophobia and transphobia and for equal human rights for all, wherever I am. It will still have an impact, because wherever I am there is someone like you, trying to capitalise on the horrors taking place in the rf to incite hatred against other human beings.
