Well done, I'm so glad Starsky introduced you to his viewers, look after yourself though, OK? ❤

@tavern77 He does that a lot, you clearly haven't been following his content and have just come here to troll - as is evident from your other comments, one of which so far I have reported.

Thank you. I so, so want you to be right about this. Love and respect to the Syrian people.

Thank you for this touching video. I met up with my friend Nataliia in central London on Valentine's day - not all love is romantic, but all of it is love! - and we went to the National Gallery because it's free (we're both skint) and it was open late last Friday. We did talk about the war, about our troubles and the terrifying insanity of current politics, but also about the paintings, mutual friends, our favourite romantic movies, and anything else that came into our heads. Then Nataliia bought two pairs of oversized sunflower earrings (they were on sale in the gallery shop) and we put them on and took selfies, then went to the pub with huge matching earrings still on 😂 🥰 I'll never forget that I met lovely people just because they had to leave their homes under bombardment, and to this day their loved ones are among the thousands of peaceful, ordinary people risking their lives to keep me and my world safe. Ukrainians have my whole heart ❤🖤

@JSrg8ix Thank goodness you guys are getting organised

@Rhinohanni1967 That's an old account but it seems to be a new troll... I've been noticing its BS posts under Ukraine videos just very recently.

Just before all this blew up, literally the other day, the Ukrainian Secret Services (CBU) arrested one of the anticorruption agency investigators, who'd been bought by the russians. CBU had apparently pointed out to the agency on several occasions that they had serious concerns about this individual, but nothing was done internally and he was allowed to continue operating, so the secret services built up a solid case against him and eventually arrested him. I understand why it would seem a better idea to bring this agency into special measures, but it needs to be done in a way that doesn't give corrupt and/or prorussian MPs a get out of jail free card. This is a delicated thing that would be tricky for any country not currently under attack... Ukraine is making all these momentous changes in record time and under the most difficult of circumstances.

@victoria_kyiv_ua Much love to Kyiv!

I think most if not all of those sailors were exchanged later in 2022. A year or so after that I watched an interview with the lad who came up with the... sentence of the century, and he has since gone back to active duty but it took him a long time to recover from captivity. They were all repeatedly tortured because the orcs wanted to get the guy who had made that statement, to make an example of him - they hated how that sentence had become such a powerful symbol of resistance. But the guys didn't break ❤🖤

100% Thank you, stay safe. Respect and gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are keeping all of us safe, whether we understand it or not. 💙💛

Because russian proxy (and special) forces got their ar**s handed to them by Azov in Mariupol in 2014. Which is also why putin wanted Mariupol to be brutalised and destroyed even more than other Ukrainian cities 😢
2
@larsrons7937 Azov's undeniable and - as you do say - long-changed far-right leanings can't have anything to do with putin's grudge against them... there are plenty of neonazi groups on russia's side, spreading propaganda, grooming people in and outside of Ukraine, and putin loves them. He hates Azov because regardless of their politics, they're Ukrainian nationalists who kick his a** again and again, staring in 2014.

No, it's a well-known spot near the Belarusian border - some of the locals line the road when they know the buses are on their way, with flags and welcome signs. But some of the families don't know if their loved ones will be there or not, because as Caolan says here, russia intentionally neglects communication (while russian prisoners in Ukraine get phonecalls home and all that). Some of the prisoners who are exchanged were down as missing in action, for example.

@beliyapelsin Thanks but we do understand, and failing that there's always YT translator. Вивчаючи українську, мені завжди приємно знайти коментарі українською. Слава Україні 💙💛

@Rhinohanni1967 That comment is the same as telling a woman whose abusive ex has broken into her home to just lie down, stop resisting and let him move back in 🤬 You're right, "who started it?" is the only sane response.

Thank you, this is absolutely beautiful 🥲

Thanks Caolan - I often watch the Ukrainian coverage of these events but they're not often covered in English, and as usual you did a good job, conveying lots of information and genuine human experience in just a few minutes. On a different note, you have started saying "return back" like most Ukrainians do when they speak English ☺ and as someone who's learning the language and listens to lots of English-speaking Ukrainians, I completely understand... I have to consciously stop myself from saying that nowadays. 💙💛

His English is really good, he may have been translating the swearing on the tip of his tongue into socially acceptable English.

I started watching Ukrainian coolery videos three years ago, shortly after deciding to learn the language. The cuisine is a language in itself. So happy to see Klopotenko on your channel, i have learned a lot from him even though I'm vegan! Thank you for work💙💛

Thank you for making this video. Very interesting conversation but most of all, what a joy to see Syrian people strolling around their city ☺ I could sense the happiness, the buzz of excitement in the area. I wish the people of this country the best in this new year and many, many years to come.

@Rhinohanni1967 I wanted to add something else to "lie down", to complete the analogy, but it's quite a personal analogy for me and I don't always feel like typing out the word. And it is an analogy, so please read comments a bit more carefully before sending judgemental replies (as I had to do with yours - at first I thought you were the troll).

Thanks Caolan. Look after yourself, you make important work and the world needs you.

@timotheusvanesch3959 I've been waiting for the USA to betray Ukraine for years now... I couldn't predict the events but I always knew something like this would come. Because in fact the betrayal started in 2014.
