Has it occurred to you that this woman may be getting abused by the same man, who's had control over her for years? We've had more stories like that in the news than abandoned newborns being found in public places.

Well, none of that has happened in this case, and considering how tiny the last one was, it's unlikely that the mother would have dumped them herself.

And tell us, are you more worried about the babies being abandoned in the freezing cold, or about these brown babies becoming British? You are aware that there are plenty of British citizens who are black and brown, right? One or both parents in this case may be British or have indefinite leave to remain. Since this country has an infrastructure aimed at caring for children whose parents can't or won't look after them, in the extremely rare cases of a newborn being abandoned a woman or girl must have gone through pregnancy and birth in secret, which is usually connected to abuse and in many cases also deprivation of liberty.

@jayss123 You have no idea what situation this woman might be in. The babies' father could be her long-term abuser, for all you know. She could be a domestic slave whose passport has been taken away. This sort of thing is much more likely than finding an abandoned newborn in a public place.

@notadvertiserfriendly6084 Literally, I imagine - the last one was an hour old. I haven't given birth myself but I've seen two women give birth and I know they wouldn't have been in a state to go outside and walk unnoticed down the street after *one hour*.

@ontheslide2339 That's a dysfunctional parallel, considering that Africa is a continent and the UK is a country. The country where this has taken place. And in this country, it is much rarer than reports of rape, sexual abuse, and domestic slavery.
