This reminds of something I read about in the first few months of the full-scale invasion, when russian trolls were going through that phase of trying to convince western governments that Ukrainians were selling their weapons on the black market: the BBC got a linguist specialising in Slavic languages to analyse a particular post and she confirmed that the text bore the signs of machine translation from russian to Polish. Thank you for your comment, I never would have known that the post received by Natasha was of the same kind because I have 0 Polish (I'm learning Ukrainian as my first, and most probably only, Slavic language). Thanks also to the other people who replied to your comment with similar insights.

I think the swearing was mostly directed at the guys who watch that kind of channel... Zelenskiy's a smart guy, he know he has to come across as an alpha for people like that to listen. And if he managed to let off a bit of steam in the process, well, I'm sure it was good for him. I've learned a couple of swearwords from him recently that I'll never forget 😁

@pduderocker And your leadership your choice. But your leadership is now making very extreme choices for other people, who got no chance to vote for it - let's not brush that under the carpet. Also, "good relations with russia"...?? They are openly committing genocide. You literally want your country to collaborate with the nazis of our time... I wouldn't describe that as "making America great again". Not that the United States of America was ever that great. It's just big. I think dictionaries are still allowed where you are, I recommend learning the difference between those two adjectives.

@rachelg785 russia has no need to wrap itself up in a big gray zone... it has a ton of nukes, no one would have attacked it and no one even wanted it to split up until they started committing genocide on a vast scale. Also, neither russia nor anyone else has the right to demand that other countries sacrifice their potential and independence to be gray zones forever. And finally: NATO keeps growing because more and more countries keep wanting to join it. Because they are, quite rightly, worried about russia and its problem with recognising other countries' borders.

She worked in Ukraine for many years (speaks fluent Ukrainian), then moved to the US to work for Voice of America. Her YT channel is quite small - it's not her main occupation - but she posts great videos, mostly about the language of war and propaganda, since she is a linguist by training.

Thank you for this genuine, articulate, kind-hearted video, and thank you for waiting until you were ready to make it in the way that worked best for you. Like other people in the comments, I too noticed that your queerness early on, and that you were neither hiding it nor flaunting it - I admired that and it's one of the things that made me want to keep watching your videos even though I prioritise Ukrainian content-makers. I'm sorry you got such a reaction from your mum, that's heartbreaking, I think you dealt with it as well as anyone could deal with such a thing. Love is hard to find, and even then it won't fix our lives. I'm glad you came off the apps and are concentrating on developing your life, that's definitely the way to go (in my 50s - only recently realised this). Take care 🤗🌈

I (with many others, I suspect) am so exasperated by this blind faith that US citizens seem to have in their institutions. Can you not see that he's dismantling your institutions? That your supreme court has been corrupted for years? That a huge number of the huge number of privately owned guns in the US is owned by his supporters, who are ready to shoot anyone who dares rise up... because they know they'll get away with it?? Not to mention that Ukraine can't wait for your insane election cycle to come round again. And what will you do if trump decides to start actively supporting the rf later this year... will you move then, do you think?
