@danialhillmann5374 A good government solution to keep all citizens safe would be to pass appropriate gun control legislation.

@TinkletitsMcGee Maybe not by the trump team, but I wouldn't put it past the FSB to groom this guy into an attack on trump, as a gift to putin's precious little asset. To be clear: I haven't read or heard that anywhere, just sharing my gut feeling here.

I don't know if the first one was staged, but I have a strong feeling this one was... not by trump's team necessarily, but maybe by putin, as a way to get his precious asset's disastrous campaign back on track. I'm trying really hard not to be paranoid or conspiratorial, and to be clear: I haven't read or heard this anywhere, it's just what has been on my mind since the news broke. The guy sounds like the perfect person to trick into this kind of attack, to discredit Ukraine while fanning the flames of trump worship. Thankfully Ukrainians are well-versed at dealing with this kind of psy-op (they're way ahead of the West in this respect) and I imagine they'll know how to deal with it.

@Snutz.D Since the news first broke I've had the nagging feeling that this is putin's gift to his US asset... to be perfectly clear, I haven't heard or read this anywhere, and I really don't want to be paranoid or help spread conspiracies - I'm just sharing my gut feeling. From what I've read about the gunman, he sounds like the perfect person to groom into this kind of thing, to fuel doubt about Ukraine while fanning the dying embers of trump worship.

He paid for his flights with the fine and insurance money. I've known people who would go to jail rather than pay fines, but always had rolls of cash in their pockets.

Smells like putin to me... (only my gut feeling that I'm choosing to share, I'm not spreading a theory I've read or heard anywhere).

@jimmyjames6487 Your reply exemplifies one of the most revolting trends in the cyber sewer of internet trolling: the kneejerk attempt to pin a shocking event, with *no evidence whatsoever*, on a vulnerable minority, in order to incite hatred. I honestly can't find the words to express how much I dispise this.

@goffgs4873 No one needs anyone's permission to post on a public forum.

@enigmaoriginal2665 I don't think he said that personally (happy to be corrected on that though). But he has been associating very closely with someone who has publicly said that - Laura whatshername, the 9-11 conspiracy theorist he took to the 9-11 memorial event. He praises her lavishly and has most definitely not pulled her up on her claim that certain groups of migrants are engaging in cannibalism.

@redcoralstrand Why?

@BackroomsSlayer That seems quite accurate to me - maybe a very observant 6-year-old got hold of mummy's phone?

Sorry, I'm not in the US and I don't know what that is.

@russellny8086 Just because the gunman went to Ukraine doesn't make him a Ukrainian operative. This is clear from the simple fact that trump is still walking around. But jokes aside, I'm saying that because I doubt Ukraine would have trump assassinated - they don't want to destabilise the US, that's putin's game. If anything, it's much more likely that the FSB would have groomed the guy into this, as a way to get putin's precious asset back on track after his disastrous campaign performance in recent weeks.

@mackjrbell7828 That's interesting. I have read a little bit about the gunman - just what was published by the BBC earlier today - but not his political affiliations within the US. There are certainly a lot of republican supporters of Ukraine, and a lot of republicans who hate trump, so it's not implausible.
