Because that's one part of caring about the country, which is something they value in a president. Ukrainians are not obsessed with their military - they're just defending themselves. They clearly value more than that in life

@solareclipse9379 Ukraine does NOT equal corruption - that's just one problem they have, and unlike other countries, they know they have it and are doing something about it

@crclar3146 I know about that sort of thing not from trolls like you, but from Ukrainian journalists and bloggers who call out these practices when they spot them and keep putting pressure on the government to deal with the people trying to use funds in this way: so, exactly as I said above, they're doing something about the corruption at the root of all this.

@frexagon1 Thanks for doing all that research! The name rang a bell - probably because I follow Sternenko - but I wouldn't have had the stomach to look him up 😊 From someone who fully understands why Ukraine is not holding elections as normal 💙💛

@Nubbe999 The Ukrainian constitution expressly forbids the dissolution of parliament while the country is under martial law. There's no point having an election if you can't dissolve the parliament to make the new one.

He wasn't ranting, he was speaking his mind. Also look at when he died: I doubt Zelenskyy was even thinking about running for president in 2015. This singer was mentioned to me some time ago, I have a feeling he was murdered and many people are still mourning him because he was so well loved and respected

@calebeoliveira4505 Neither EU nor US get to tell Ukraine what to do with itself

@crclar3146 too many to list - if you follow Ukrainian sources you will know. People like Sternenko and Sokolova regularly call out the government and local authorities over this sort of thing, other investigative journalists too, and they keep making noises until it turns up in the news and, often, it is acted on. Of course, if you're a troll - as you seem to be, tbh - you will only follow what allows you to keep trying to smear Ukraine in order to reduce international support. Which is a waste of time, but hey, it's your time

@z.Sh4ped.Po0Tin Martial Law was declared in the hours following the start of the full-scale invasion. I imagine that Ukrainians are being asked this question because international media keeps going on about elections in Ukraine, seemingly forgetting that this country is currently fighting a disproportionately large genocidal aggressor

@freemind360 It wouldn't be like any election. A substantial part of the electorate is stuck in occupied areas, or has been deported to the aggressor country.
