Because they invaded a sovereign country that objectively posed no threat to them. And since in doing so they have caused untold damage and committed horrific war crimes, they will also have to pay reparations and send all war criminals still living at that point to be tried at The Hague. @yaya_is_real Basically you "remember" everything wrong. 14,000 are documented by independent sources to have died in the Donbas between 2014 and late 2021 or early 2022: as in, all of them, military and civilians on both sides plus the hundreds of people whose passenger plane was shot out of the sky by russian special forces. The 4 million is an estimate - based on verified historical sources - of how many Ukrainians were deliberately starved to death by the soviets in the early 30s.
