  1. Many people will also say "da" while speaking Ukrainian (I've learned not to rely on that word alone in my year-long attempt to tell spoken russian from spoken Ukrainian). Also, many people will sometimes speak a kind of Ukrainian-russian patois called surzhyk. You are absolutely right in your observation that everyday use of language is not an issue in Ukraine, and it's all russia's fault 😊💙💛

Meanwhile, the rf isn't going to be on the map for much longer... and no, no one's going to come and "break it up": there will be no need, it's self-destructing so beautifully that all the rest of the world has to do is leave them (you?) to it.
