In 1991, the people of Crimea voted to remain in Ukraine - in a free and fair referendum that was in no way militarised - by a larger margin than the UK voted to leave the EU in 2016.

@teltos6817 The Crimean partisan movement is very active, and there's plenty of evidence around if you look and listen (so make an effort). Other than that, the few people who manage to get information out of russian-occupied Crimea say that the repression is much worse than in soviet times (again, look for yourself - unless you actually are a professional troll, the research will do you good). @teltos6817 How interesting that my last reply disappeared, when it mentioned the partisan movement in Crimea, and some of the people there taking risks to tell the rest of the world that the repression is currently much worse than it was in the soviet union.
