@jetsunleashed8368 Just repeating a trite comment that's been doing the rounds for the best part of two years shows that the person probably (not necessarily) can't be bothered to use their brain very much. As for the actual content: a small part of your taxes goes into your country's defense budget, and part of that budget is (should be) currently going to Ukraine. Your country's defense budget wouldn't be used to sort out whatever problems you have "at home" - unless there's a civil war where you live? Also, russia's war on Ukraine is not just happening to "other people": if russia is allowed even a partial victory (or so much as a breather) in Ukraine, they'll start attacking other neighbouring countries, and China may see this as a green light to attack Taiwan, and then all of our countries' defense budgets will get bigger and bigger, indeed depriving us of other things we need. And who knows, you may get drafted. Fully supporting Ukraine NOW makes the above scenarios much less likely. Fully supporting Ukraine two years ago, or in 2014 when this all started, would have been a lot smarter as this war would probably be over by now.
