How this war works, is that russia invaded Ukraine and Ukrainian men and women are resisting the genocide of their nation. The attitude of the Ukrainian authorities to its fighters is visibly different that that of russian authorities, and the only people who put them on a level are those spouting putin's propaganda

@al_the_crow to be fair to who, deluded internet trolls? Even the people who didn't know much about Ukraine before the beginning of the full-scale invasion have now been informing themselves for 18 months, so "just discovered" doesn't apply even in those cases - and I doubt that's "half" the people who support Ukraine altogether, I don't know how you worked that one out. But also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with not knowing much about a country, learning about it as it's defending itself from genocide, and forming an opinion about the whole thing.

@al_the_crow "both siding" this war is like "both siding" the American Civil War or WW2, as trump famously did (and still does, I imagine). The partial observation of genocide is a failure of humanity, and that's what you're trying to do here, because this is a genocide that russian forces are committing in Ukraine. Fighting for survival cannot be compared to fighting to rape and kill, or even to fighting to survive when the person one was trying to rape and kill unexpectedly fights back. People who come up with the sort of argument you're making here turn my stomach in a way that even the common kremlin troll doesn't - so, for your sake, I actually hope you are one of them after all
