@FJB2020 How are they losing against russia...? It was supposed to be a 3-day takeover, it will be a 1000 days next week - and Ukraine is still standing, still fighting, still functioning as a country and making progress in a number of fields, not just military. Meanwhile, the rf has pretty much switched to a wartime economy and is devolving in every aspect of existence.

The point is, is the New England population making noises about wanting to be independent? I mean until now. I wouldn't be surprised if some parts of the US started clamouring for secession, after the election results.

@horpdorb40 The rf is a massive country - Ukraine is far from small, but small by comparison with the rf and has a much smaller population. Unlike russia, Ukraine does not recruit mercenaries - all foreign fighters are volunteers, who would never fight for the highest bidder, and there are fewer of those people generally. The AFU have only recently started recruiting convicts, and not as indiscriminately as russia started doing 2 years ago; nor do they use their troops in "meat assaults". Finally, Ukraine's military was deliberately run down during the Yanukovych years (he was preparing the country for russian takeover even before the Maidan), and in some ways is still shaking off the legacy of the soviet army (3 decades isn't long for systemic change to completely take effect). And don't get me started about restrictions on the use of military aid.

NATO isn't telling either Serbians or Cubans that their language isn't actually a language, that they have always been... from NATO really (see, it already doesn't work) and that they are and always have been part of NATO.
