@Paisa231 He's Ukrainian, his folks are from Mykolayev. His accent is consistent with a Ukrainian speaker who speaks good English. The reason the place names often sound weird in these videos is that they've been voiced by AI since he had to take time off due to illness at the beginning of this year. The AI replicates his timbre and pronunciation very well but being set to English, messes up the pronunciation of Ukrainian words.

@KyMirabel Absolutely. The problem is that since the channel switched to an AI voice earlier this year, while his voice and pronunciation have remained consistent, the pronunciation of place names and other Ukrainian words has gone haywire... I used to teach myself to pronounce Ukrainian place names by watching these videos, so this hurts my ears! But I understand how AI allows him to share his work with a team, so he can upload regularly with the same degree of detail, without burning out.
