  1. Exactly. Something like this must have happened last year first in the Kharkiv then in the Kherson regions - but those operations didn't take place in a fishbowl. I'm starting to find much of the media discourse intolerable, not to mention the way some Western politicians see fit to express themselves (Ben Wallace 👿) but I feel that I owe it to Ukrainians to at least try to put together articulate and level-headed responses when I hear someone spout this nonsense irl.   2. I too grew up during the cold war, though I 've only recently started feeling the way you do about russia because of the horrors unleashed on Ukraine. But do you realise that many people across the world rightly feel the same way about the US? And the UK (where I live). Right now, as long as these and other countries support Ukraine, they are doing the right thing and it's down to all of us to ensure they carry on. russia needs to lose - it's by far the most hopeful outcome for all russians too. Levelling more cities may not help the world in the long term. One thing that would help the world would be worldwide recognition that imperialist aggression has taken place, in many forms, and that it needs to stop once for all with wealth accumulated as a result of it devoted to repairing as much of the damage as possible.

  3. All that destroyed expensive Western gear... nust be why russians had to take pictures of their own mashed up vehicles and tell the world they were Ukrainian. Except that they weren't telling the world, just their own people. Which is why they didn't make much of an effort to disguise their own markings on the vehicles... it's also why they thought filming themselves shooting at combine harvesters in a field would do the trick... russians who watch russian news will believe anything. The people in this comment section will not.
