  1. Barrier troops. One time, RfU reported that the UAF was able to destroy the russian barrier troops at the rear (someone must have tipped them off) and the cannon fodder just fled. That was last year in the Kharkiv region, I think - you may even be able to find the video, I think there was something about in the title. But if the barrier troops are there, these guys know they'll get shot either way... at least if they advance there's a teeny tiny chance they'll get far enough to be taken prisoner.
