@Skavenblight13 Actually this channel does report on Ukrainian mistakes - some of the things that have gone wrong over the past two and a half years I only fully understood thanks to this guy and his team

The children shouldn't have to be exchanged for captured soldiers. Also, the military prisoners Ukraine is trying to get back have been tortured and starved for over two years - I'm sincerely hoping the children haven't! Though with Mordor you never know 😰

That's misinformation. Besides, Ukrainian sources are very open about how difficult things are in the east. But if RfU decided to report about that instead of this right now, half the people in this comment section would be screaming at him.

@littlekong7685 I know, I wasn't implying it's easy for the kids. I've heard about at least one Ukrainian child who died of a respiratory infection due to poor transport conditions and general neglect. But have you seen the state of Ukranian military prisoners just after an exchange??

I get you - in many ways you are right. But bear in mind the thousands of Ukrainian families who've been waiting for their loved ones to come home, and also the horrific conditions in which those prisoners are kept... if even one of them deteriorates or dies while Ukraine is playing games, it would backfire. Especially considering that Ukrainian officials have sometimes had a job on their hands just convincing the population that they're working hard at these exchanges, always countering the russian disinformation campaign ("the Ukrainian govt. doesn't care about bringing back its own soldiers" etc).

Exactly what I thinking 😓🤬

@TKaarel I don't think that's what the original commenter meant - it's certainly not what I meant. But having seen the state of most of these guys when they're exchanged, I know it's unrealistic to expect any of them to go back to active duty anytime soon... that happened with the few Azov commanders who were for some ridiculous reason held in Turkey for about a year after they were exchanged, but they were in good health and ready to go.
