I can't think of any friendly fire incidents on the Ukrainian side - and following Ukrainian sources, I've noticed they can be very... vocal about mistakes and wrongdoing by their own military and government. Recently I watched an interview with a drone operator who is currently recovering from an injury, she was saying that even when under fire, the thing that stresses her out the most is the possibility of hitting her own people. I think it just boils down to awareness, good training, regard for human life... and being sober on the job. 💙💛

She's a russian journalist who works for Voice of America after working in Ukraine for years, 100% pro-Ukraine. She has a linguistics background so she usually focuses on the language of reporting and propaganda, memes and jokes doing the rounds on social media, etc. I highly recommend her channel - even her old videos and shorts would be worth watching now imo.

Zelenskyy Is a Ukrainian, living in Ukraine. So is the other guy you mention, though I believe that one's now in a Ukrainian prison on corruption charges. There are tens of millions of people living in Ukraine and they are Ukrainians living in their own country. When you feel inclined to return every country in the Americas to the descendants of the indigenous people who were there when those lands were occupied by various Europeans, let us know.

@carolbaird8659 So what if Zelenskyy's native language is russian? He is one of millions of Ukrainians who grew up speaking mostly russian and have now completely and permanently switched to speaking Ukrainian because they have understood that the russian language is part of a long-standing psy-op against their independent country. I salute them.
