  1. That may be because they have been groomed by their propagandists to conflate pedophilia with homosexuality. This gives the people a dangerous other to hate and despise, in order to distract them from the appalling way their country is run and ensure their compliance when aggressive action is taken against other countries (or even themselves and their compatriots, as is happening now).
