A while ago I shared a YT series with a friend who was having a terrible time, she loved it and shared it with her mother, who's on the other side of the world and also in a bad situation... I surprised myself by being close to tears at the thought of having shared something that had made their lives and relationship a little bit better. It's a special thing to do, I'm glad you were able to do this with your mum before she passed away. Sending you a big hug ❤

Thanks, I want to try. It sounds "veganizable" and it looks really good in the video. About the "papers pepper", I remember an old grocery store in my mother's native village in Tuscany, still selling salt in twists of paper in the 70s... there used be an old marble counter with a salt well, and according to my relatives, it had been like that for decades. So maybe the pepper didn't come in sachets but in twisted up bits of paper, it does make sense in a world before industrially produced packaging. Btw, I don't think we're just food history lovers, we're also Max Miller lovers ☺
