"We have big problems with the personnel." Rogozin called for a second wave of mobilization.
Russia needs to start a second wave of mobilization because of the catastrophic shortage of soldiers in the war in Ukraine, former Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin told radio station "Talk Moscow.
"We have to keep in mind that the enemy is stronger than we are. We cannot act here in such a way that everyone is for himself. That's why we need mobilization. It should not only have gone through one in the early fall, there should have been another one. We have big problems with personnel, because guys get wounded, our fighters get killed," Rogozin said.
The Russian authorities have once again started talking about mobilization ahead of a Ukrainian counterattack. Aleksandr Boroday, former head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic and current State Duma deputy, said that the reservists already drafted "might not be enough.
Following him, Crimean State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet announced the mobilization. "We must fight 'with the whole world,' as they say, and everyone must die with honor for Russia," he said.
