  1. hmmmmm. Well, In America we have been cooking chicken in butter for over two hundred years. Thus I think it is really an American innovation. On top of that I see that one of the ingredients is tomatoes - native to the so-called 'New World'. So, it is clearly an American dish. Just kidding...Just kidding.......
