Something amusing - apparently the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources has issued new guidelines on map content, requiring that parts of Russia which once belonged to China must be labelled with their original Chinese names. They're getting ready to take advantage o Vlad's little distraction to the West.

  3.  @tmb06  Yes, it is unfortunate that American politics have become such a snake pit. This war has many political dimensions - I might like to hear about the political situations in other counties as well, not just in the west, but in the rest of the world, because it does have import. Your point is well taken (and others have made it as well) that this should not turn into a bash-the-right forum, which would turn this whole discussion into a monkey-5hit flinging contest.
