  4. Well, that remark about Portugal needing to fear Spain certainly got misconstrued. It was a joke- like George Carlin's remark that the Army has all the flame throwers, and therefore we'd be totally screwed if we ever went up against the Army. Is there some bad history between the two countries that would put this joke in bad taste? My family came to the US from Canada, and a couple of my friends used to constantly joke about how easy it would be for the US to seize Canada, to which I always replied that this would mean the introduction of 30 million new voters who prefer socialized medicine. This always ended the conversation, then and there......
