Now, if the damage assessment DOES come out to ~$50 billion, he will have to find a new spin. But we'll see. I mean, i assume insurance analysts get pretty good at guestimating the damage a particular storm will do, but said analyst would need to know the exact strength and direction of wind and where it hit, exactly how high the storm surge if any was and what area it hit, how much rainfall dropped upstream from a particular area. If the analyst is a whiz at meteorology and has access to all the granular data regarding the storm, maybe he can do an estimate. It does sound to me like Florida avoided a killer storm surge of the type to bulldoze the city, so that is good.
