  1. As an American baffled by geography, I have to ask. WHY would Pakistan advocate for this? Wouldn't an independent Khalistan immediately gobble up the Punjabi portions of Pakistan?

These schemes have a way of backfiring, slaves often do turn on their masters (or find new ones), and the joke's gonna be on Pakistan if Sikhs take over the new Khalistan, grab a piece of Pakistan, and then reunite with India. I just hope the West stays the hell out of this; we always end up on the wrong side of history in these things....
