the biggest deception about the medias portrayal of Southern California is the cover up of cultural animosities imported and passed on to later generations. Even if for the victims, the media won't talk about the desiccation of a once great and yet recent history, but they will for the perpetrators of the desiccation. The main reason nobody feels the need to preserve anything historically in LA. In the 80's the saying "nobody walks in LA" was understood. Today, nobody is really born in LA, East or West, anymore. That's what is recognized now, but never understood.
