  3. New primary and secondary sanctions are being implemented against Russia, and is bi partisan. US trade with Russia has dropped 35 percent to 2.4 billion 2024. Tariffs are also being called for against countries that buy Russian oil and gas, including European countries:  "The largest importers of Russian gas in the European Union are Germany and Italy, accounting together for almost half of the EU's gas imports from Russia.
