It's so difficult to really have an honest conversation in public for a public personality. Not just for what you say, but for who you treat as deserving of your interest. Oliver Stone was that guy when he talked about Vladimir Putin's possible motivation for committing war crimes against Ukrainian mothers and Children. It's not the type of convo I enjoy treating with objectively. I always feel dumber and lower as a human being after I do.
