  1. Any game or competition that offers huge prizes but requires participants to shell out a certain amount of money upfront is already a red flag, especially if the upfront money is non-refundable. It means the cash prizes is to be drawn from the pooled money that came from the participants themselves with the organizers not spending any money out of their own pockets. In effect, the contestants are betting against each other by 'buying-in' into the 'game'. Talk about being fried in your own lard.

  4. Something tells me that there's a catch somewhere. This reality-TV challenge has some 'catchy' provisions in the fine print of the contract that the participants are not aware of.
