  1. Perplexing that going into a working schedule that adheres closely to that of the rest of the world will still trigger anxiety in China. They should be thankful that they still have jobs to go to. The world had changed and they have to adjust to the new reality as the rest of the world.

  2. They're phasing down. By introducing new working schedules, it will force workers to either resign or accept lower pay. With millions of unemployed desperate for jobs, they won't have difficulty signing up workers for less pay. Sink or swim.

  3. Foxconn can afford to pay them peanuts. If they don't like it, Foxconn can just relocate elsewhere where they can offer the same crumbs. There will be a lot of takers for loose change. The bottom line is where they can squeeze the maximim profits at the minimum pay. Asia have lots of countries for that slavery.

  5. Hangover from the days when employers incentivize workers to work extra hours to fulfill quotas. They should realize that those days were over.
