  1. With ground-dwelling insects acting odd? I don't think so. A dormant volcano is acting up. The ground is being heated forcing locusts and ground-dwelling insects to come out to the surface. Heated water is mixing with surface water, scalding those fishes and killing them eventually.

  4. That bubbling ground emitting white steam is definitely a volcanic vent that will soon grow. Looks like a huge part of China is sitting on dormant volcanoes, and those earthquakes were a sign that they have been awakened.
