Don't course it through the government. #2 : Same as #1 #3 : The rescuers showed up alright - - after the floods when there's no more to rescue-- for some photo-ops to pretend that they were doing something.

  2. Insulting and infuriating. After getting their village sacrificed for Beijing, local officials allow tourists to see their submerged houses, as if it were an attraction? Now local officials come out of the woodwork for some photo-ops. Shameless credit-grabbing. The people are now being inundated with propaganda by their so-called 'leaders'.

  3. Quite noticeable is that the people are getting more emboldened defying their officials and exposing the rampant corruption in the government. Looks like the people are beginning to resort to a local civil disobedience.
