  1. The assembly that drafted it was dominated by progressives, leftists and 'woke' people. That was its undoing. Chileans basically distrusted the new constitution crafted by the same breed of people responsible for some absurd policies being applied in certain countries. The people of Chile might have grown sick and tired of the Pinochet-era constitution, but they don't want a situation that's amounts to "from the frying pan to the fire".
