  1. Well, they're "volunteers", right? It's like asking for trouble. If you ever return alive, good for you. If you are captured (or worse), you willingly volunteered.

  3. Forced conscription? Can't blame them if they force their remaining manpower to become cannon fodder, if you will. Not after that "evacuation" from that steel works plant last month. That must have caused a huge demoralization among their men.

  4. brazil has huge swathes of idle lands. peru is mountainous but the people had been burying people in hillsides for quite some time now. ecuador could spare some land if the need arises. if burial spaces run out, they could resort to cremation as other countries has been doing.

  6. It doesn't matter whether they're referring to mercs or volunteers if you know you are fighting a superior enemy. Of what good is the money if you don't get to enjoy it because you died in the fighting? Those mercs are not fools to die for money.

  7. They must've sensed that once you go there as a volunteer fighter, you are praised as a "freedom fighter" by the western media. But if you get captured or surrendered, you're basically on your own. So much for "heroes".
