  1. More appalling than finding out that your building is a tofu dreg is the certainty that the residents won't be able to do anything about it but complain. Their money is gone and they are to live in that place whether they like it or not.

  2. Residents are required to pay in full before actual construction starts. So even if there are issues after the units have been turned over, they can no longer refund the money.
