I never said that the existence of a country is solely based on the global market, however the economy grow is based on that as well as to maintain the current economic performance. And exactly that is happening with the western sanctions, it weakens the production of war equipment, it does not stop it. Selling less oil and gas means less money can be invested in the production of weapons. Almost all countries can be self-sufficient, one just has to lower the living standards, for example instead of drinking cola one drinks tap water. U save money because tap water is free and u dont have to pay salaries for those that produce cola, the economy does not profit but it is self-sufficient. The west understood that they cant isolate anybody because of globalisation but it can assure that a certain economy can not grow.

  3.  @k.k.4258  Nobody can withstand sanctions, not the US, not RuZZia and not China. Sanctions are there to weaken an economy over time not to destroy an economy and it always worked, it works in the present and it will always work. Sanctions means less trading, less trading means smaller economy.
