  1. I understand why Nigeria acts the way it does, there was a failed coup in Nigeria and it got them by surprise therefore they want to avoid such things to repeat in the future while every country around them fall to military coups.

I believe if Ecowas can prove that they are a strong african union within Africa, that many other african nations would seek to join this alliance, they could become the core of a united democratic Africa. Military usually likes orders and not conversations, i dont believe in a military united Africa to last long.
