I've heard this idea several times before. Yet, I'm not sure of its validity, at least for me. I've done "No Nut November" many years now, but I never come away feeling productive; I just end up feeling agitated and depressed more than anything. My normal life doesn't reward me with dopamine or anything, and it seemed like masturbation was the only source I had for it. At the same time, it is harder to relax at times without doing it. Some nights I become restless and cannot sleep until I do the deed, as it tends to relax everything more, expend some extra energy.
What I gather from this video is not necessarily to stop masturbation per se, but to redirect the libido away from it towards something else. Yet, I'm not sure how to do that. During NNN, I just become busy and focus on other stuff so that my mind doesn't even have time to consider sex, but that too is unrewarding. So, how would someone turn their libido towards something else? It sounds strange, but is it possible to become attracted to bigger goals in a sexual manner?
