  4. Donald Engel yes, the progressives and social democrats of the democrat party are Center-Right. That’s like calling libertarians left wing.

  5. Donald Engel it is a matter of perspective. Some in Europe would call us right wing, while we would consider them very left wing. Overall the Democrats are progressives, while Republicans are conservatives. For simplicity it’s better to say that the Democrats are left (which they are in America) and that the republicans are right (which they are). Neither have any rather radical ideals. I know social democrats are left.

  8. Donald Engel yes they are. The republicans are very different to democrats. A country that’s got a very similar government is Australia, both major parties are so identical that it’s sometimes hard to tell them apart.
