  2. Almost all military funding has come from the US. The US has eaten through stockpiles to support Ukraine that will take years to replenish.

  3. Trump encouraging NATO members to fund their military is playing into Putin's cards? Putin didn't like Trump. Trump went at him over multiple stupid treaties that favored Russia. He strengthened NATO. He built military alliances in the middle east.

Forcing NATO countries to properly fund their militaries only strengthens the alliance. At the moment if the US left, the rest of NATO would lose in a war to Russia. They should be self sufficient, US support should bolster their strength not be their strength.
