Somerandomdude4.2526 what research can be done on gun control? Figuring out the loopholes? Do you mean gun statistics, thief’s plenty of those.

Like what, the assault weapons ban? An assault weapon has no defined meaning and the ban did nothing to stop actual shootings. Rifles represent such a tiny announcer of overall homicides in America
1
Snail Kale do you not know what the assault weapons ban was? It was “reasonable” regulation on weapons - mostly based on their looks. For example, pistol grips weren’t allowed on any semi automatic rifles. Even banning rifles wouldn’t do anything, as so little actual homicides are committed with rifles and said rifles are amazing for someone looking to defend themselves. It would harm the law abiding citizen more than criminals

Jack Stahl the thing is gun free zones don’t stop shootings. If you want to shoot someone, nothing is stopping you from bringing a concealed gun in a bag. The only thing they do stop are law abiding citizens and their ability to stop a threat. You could force teachers to practice gun safety and put the gun in a gun safe to keep it away from the students.
1
Crumbles first off, not all shooters are kids. You’re not prepping to shoot a kid, your prepping to defend yourself and your students. And the gun safe would be in a cabinet, keto out of reach of children and only to be used in specific situations. Teachers wouldn’t be forced to take a gun, but instead would have the option to.

Crumbles gun free zones haven’t stopped a single shooting, they only stop the law abiding citizens from defending against one.
1
Jack Stahl and I’ll say it again, what does a gun free zone do to prevent that teacher from bringing in a weapon to school. Nothing, it just means that another law abiding teacher cannot defend himself and his students against that shooter. Gun free zones have never prevented a shooting - what they have done is prevented others from defending themselves.
1
Jack Stahl gun free zones do work is some circumstances, like in bars where people can get drunk and in the spot a guy might decide to shoot someone. But school shootings are planned, most aren’t spontaneous bursts of aggression. And a gun free zone doesn’t stop someone from bring a gun to school concealed.
1
Jack Stahl it will reduce the fatalities of a shooting, plus deter someone from committing one in the first place. Those are 2 bonuses, and there aren’t any apparent negatives.
1
Jack Stahl training for what? You don’t need training to take a gun and put it in a safe. And gun safes could be provided by the teacher, the gun if for their comfort. Ok let’s say you want it to be state funded, just take that budget out of where you get the security guard budget. You don’t need security for schools if the teachers are armed.
1
Jack Stahl if they don’t want it then they aren’t forced to take it. It’s a luxury, not a rule. And gun training should be also on the teacher, it’s not the schools job to train a army of teachers.
1
Jack Stahl um no, it’s not as hard as driving a car. It’s point and shoot
1
Snail Kale they would use it and save their own life. Amazing I know.

FVG corporations obviously. But to have almost half of your funding from individuals is huge.
