  3. The “million dollar pen” wasn’t even a nasa invention. It was made by a company as a marketing scheme. NASA brought a few thousand and overall only spent ~60 000 on them. But it turns out the pens worked better than The Russian pencils, which the sharpenings would float around, damaging the machinery.

  9. Casper Milquetoast NASA has done a lot over the years. Yes it’s expensive, but then again the US is rich. It’s about finding balance, which NASA doesn’t have.

  10. Casper Milquetoast well these projects cost a lot of money. The iss for example cost over 100 billion dollars, that’s more than 10 years of NASAs budget. Pretty much nasa had to stop other projects to build it. That’s the issue. If there is one big project, nothing else can work along side it.
